How does the site work?
|
 |
Overview
Chartered Accountants seeking full/part-time or temporary work in South Yorkshire/North
Derbyshire (“Candidates”) place an open or restricted profile on the site. Employers,
who are cleared by SDSCA, can review these profiles and make contact with the Candidate
either directly, for open profiles, or through SDSCA for restricted profiles. Candidates
and Employers can then work together to see if employment can be arranged.
Employers can place details of vacancies for Chartered Accountants on the site.
Responses can then be made directly to the Employer.
Member’s Perspective
•
Candidates log onto Member’s Profile by entering their Institute of Chartered Accountants
in England and Wales (“Institute or ICAEW”) member number and date of birth.
•
Member’s Profiles can only be seen by Employers who have been cleared by SDSCA and
cannot be seen by anyone else.
•
Candidates can select an open or restricted profile for their personal data:
|
Open profile: |
Candidates disclose full personal details and Employers can make direct contact
with Candidates |
 |
|

|
|
Employers who are interested in a Candidate contact SDSCA by e-mail. SDSCA contact
the Candidate who confirms whether their details should go forward
or not
SDSCA e-mails Employer who, if Candidate has given approval, makes direct contact with Candidate. If Candidate has not given approval SDSCA e-mails employer " Candidate-9999
not available" |
•
Candidates enter brief details against a search menu and provide a career summary
in a flexible format. For examples of Member’s Profiles go to Example.
•
Candidates should expect to supply Employers with CVs and eventually with references
and should therefore be ready to provide these.
•
Candidates can also browse “Vacancies” using search criteria and make direct contact
with Employers, together with a CV, in response to any vacancy.
•
Candidates can amend, disable or delete their Member’s Profile at any time.
•
Every 3 months a Candidate will be sent an e-mail requesting confirmation that their
Member’s Profile is up to date and should remain on the site.
•
No charge is made to the Candidate at any stage in the process.
•
Candidates are advised to leave their e-mail on automatic response e.g. " ................
will return to the office on............ " if they are unable to respond to e-mails
within 2 business days due to holidays / travel. SDSCA will then notify the relevant employer
that " Candidate No. 9999 is away from the office, unable to answer e-mails and
returns to the office on.......... "
